Dahlov Ipcar (1917-2017) was a well-respected Maine artist born to highly acclaimed parents, William and Marguerite Zorach. At the age of 21 she had her first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Dahlov painted throughout her life, both as a source of pleasure and income. In addition to painting, she wrote four fantasy novels, wrote and illustrated numerous children's book, and crafted three-dimensional cloth sculptures.
