Maret Hensick was raised in Europe. She returned to the United States where she attended college, earning a BFA. Maret started hand-painting T-shirts and selling them at craft fairs. That experience created her initial style, full of color, splatters and drips. Inspiration comes from everywhere: books, museums, travel, gardens, music, and poetry.
