Alan James Robinson is an illustrator, designer and fly fishing enthusiast. Alan's images have appeared in various publications and magazines for Disney, Chronicle Books, Random House, National Wildlife, and Yankee Magazines. Alan holds a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking and Sculpture from the University of Massachusetts.

After relocating to Rockport, Maine in the early 1970's, Anne started creating block prints and postcards that she sold by retail mail order and to local shops. Eventually she moved on to watercolors that capture images of the coast and the islands, inland mountains or lakes, and of course flower gardens.

She was a co-founder of Liberty Graphics and established our artistic direction, which still guides us today. Her intuitive marketing sense led her to the designing of some of our most successful shirts.

He was gifted with both keen powers of observation and the ability to paint a truly unique take on his subject matter. Best known for conveying maximum meaning with minimalist technique, he described his work by saying "...in a world of chaos, the picture is one small rectangle in which the artist can create an ordered universe."
View the Charley Harper collectionChris Van Dusen is a native Mainer who grew up under the influence of the meticulous detail in the illustrations of Dr. Seuss and Robert McCloskey. Initially working as a freelance illustrator, Chris achieved considerable success with his first original children's book in 2000 and since then has made a career writing and illustration his own children's books.
View the Chris Van Dusen collectionDahlov Ipcar (1917-2017) was a well-respected Maine artist born to highly acclaimed parents, William and Marguerite Zorach. At the age of 21 she had her first solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Dahlov painted throughout her life, both as a source of pleasure and income. In addition to painting, she wrote four fantasy novels, wrote and illustrated numerous children's book, and crafted three-dimensional cloth sculptures.

Sibley has merged an encyclopedic knowledge of birds with his skills as a self-taught artist to become one of the America's best-known field guide authors.

She has illustrated 15 books including "Bears of the World", "Keeper of the Animals", "A Field Guide To Whales", and "Porpoises and Seals of the Gulf Of Maine and Eastern Canada". Over the years, D.D. and Liberty Graphics have collaborated to print over 150 (and still counting) pieces of her nature art.

They printed a wide variety of nature & outdoor themed shirts for zoos, museums and companies such as L.L. Bean and Orvis. After going out of business in the late 90's, Liberty Graphics acquired their design catalog and we have continued to print a handful of classic Harborside designs.

The printmaking process appeals to her love of making things with her hands and respect for craftsmanship. Birds, animals, fish, insects, plants and the planets all offer points of departure for her to interpret and integrate into her compositions.

She graduated from New York City's High School of Music and Art and from the Cooper Union School of Art. Ieva's keen eye for color was further sharpened when she worked separating color in art pieces for greeting cards in NYC before she transplanted to Maine forty years ago. Her skills elevated Liberty Graphics to a new level of exactness in our reproduction of nature graphics.`

She frequently works with Maine Audubon, park foundations, publishers and magazines. Jada is the creator of the popular Home Tweet Home window feeder, a decorated tiny home for birds.

Mark’s distinctive illustrations have appeared in books, murals, and, if your a Mainer, on your vehicle. (He is the artist behind the chickadee and loon on Maine license plates.)

With degrees from The School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and The Hartford Art School, Bob has had a long career as an educator in various New England independent schools and colleges. He is a lover of the outdoors and has traveled with his family and sketchbook to many of the U.S. National Parks.
View the R.N. Richardson collectionRobert McCloskey (1914-2003) was an American creator of children's books. He both wrote and illustrated nine picture books, including 2 Caldecott Medal Winners; "Make Way For Ducklings (1941), and "Time Of Wonder" (1958). He spent his summers on a small family-owned island in Penobscot bay off the Maine coast. Many of McCloskey's stories were set in and around the island which the family has subsequently gifted to the Nature Conservancy.
